History

The last half of Showa 30’s: 1960 - 1965

One of the other departments of the San-ei Kogyo Corporation, launched ‘Beauler’: a unique name for an eyelash curler in Japan at the time. Every single eyelash curler used to be assembled by manual labour.

Showa 40’s: 1966 - 1976

Individual production system by manual labour has shifted to today’s mass production system.

1970/1/7

TOKYO CURL Company limited founded.
Eyelash curlers were sold as one of the necessary accessories for professional make up.

In the year of Showa 55: 1980

A major cosmetic company developed the eyelash curler as an independent brand product and began exporting business to USA. The production volume has dramatically risen.

In the year of Showa 57: 1982

The factory has moved to the current location in Saitama.
